The wait is almost over….the most anticipated anime of 2022 starts its bloody rampage within a day. Chainsaw Man will premiere on Crunchyroll tomorrow night. Just look at that adorable scene of the man snuggling up asleep with his chainsaw dog! It doesn’t take long for things to get far less cute, however. (Also, don’t sleep with chainsaw dogs in real life, it’s not safe.)
Chainsaw Man takes place in a dark world where creatures known as Devils are spawned from the collective fears and negative thoughts of humanity. Someone’s gotta hunt them, and that guy was fearless teenager Denji — until he died. For a few minutes anyway — he found a way to cling to life by merging with his pet Devil Pochita. That act transformed him into the powerful Chainsaw Man. Now Denji can sprout chainsaws from any part of his body to instantly puree any monster in his path.
Chainsaw Man stars Kikunosuke Toya as Denji, Shiori Izawa as Pochita, Tomori Kusunoki as Makima, Shogo Sakata as Aki Hayakawa...

I hope this Anime is not going to have a toxic fanbase. I had seen so many toxic fanbase and I want to see a fanbase with awesome people for once.

There will be a new ED for each episode, performed by a different musician. That so much care was put into this anime is insane. The animators at MAPPA are currently hard at work on what is undoubtedly one of the studio's most ambitious projects in the past decade, so let us once again offer up prayers for their safety. Incredible progress has been made in the animation of anime over the years, thanks in large part to the efforts of passionate animators like those who have worked on this project.

I predict that this will be the year's most outstanding anime series. I watched the trailer, and it gave me hope that Mappa wouldn't be a letdown when it finally aired. My time with the manga has come to an end. The animation alone makes this a must-watch anime. Everyone is excited about the anime, so let's talk about the music. A new ed with each new episode, holy hell, mappa, you're killing it, and kenshi yonezu!!! I'm stoked that the opening act is my favorite jpop singer.

I can't stand the voice acting, It will be a lot of getting use to before I feel settled from watching this.

I don't know why people are complaining about the voice acting, because in this trailer everyone sounds fantastic! And that's not even mentioning how hard MAPPA worked on the animation and coloring, or the excellent score. Because of this, I am pumped to the max.

Those action sequences are out of control. The kind of stuff that would be great for a movie. I can't recall hearing of a show that featured 12 different closing themes. In fact, there should be one for each season. Although I had heard that this was supposed to be a second cour anime, I have since learned that it only consists of 12 episodes. In any case, I can't wait!

It was amazing to see the animation come to life. Hearing the chainsaw revs as Denji transformed sent shivers down people's spines. It's hard to believe, but one of the most anticipated anime ever is now available. This manga has been animated by Mappa, and it's a big deal because she can use Jujutsu and a chainsaw. Anyone who has read the manga knows how insane things get as Denji develops, so they will be relieved to hear that there will be more than twelve episodes.

The animation and direction were top notch, the music was excellent, the OP was fantastic, and the voice actors did a decent job (though we need to hear more from them).

I thought it was a good way to start the show, and I hope the rest of the season is as good. Blending CGI and 2D is improving for Mappa, but there are still some choppy moments (like the opening overhead of the zombies, the closeup of Denji's chainsaw head form connecting to his torso, and some of the slower movements when Denji isn't slashing). Because of the need for CGI to depict the hordes of zombies, subsequent episodes should hopefully improve.
