Cram: Study Like Your Life Depends On It

I'm open to watching low budget films, but right now I just want to rest. The concept of "Cram" sounds great, but I think I'll have to wait until I have more energy to fully enjoy it. Sometimes the best stories come from the most unexpected places, but right now I just need a break.

“You’re Next” Smarter Slasher Horror – Film Review

Cool, my boyfriends wants to see it but the posters looked lame so I’m glad to see a positive review and to hear it has a sense of humor. I’ve gotten incredibly bored of the wave of too-serious horror that we’ve seen in the past few years.

Books What book are you currently reading?

I really liked it, it was a well written movie and superbly acted. Quite thoughtful as well. The screenplay got an Oscar, and the same director did a bunch of movies I've liked (Election, About Schmidt), he seems to have a good touch with actors and a good eye for human interactions.

Books What book are you currently reading?

Oh! That one is on my to-read pile! I'm excited to see it's becoming a movie, as well, with that awesome young actress from The Descendants. I need to read the book before that happens, though, might have to move it up the pile just a tad.

    Time Travel

Quantum Leap was probably the best time travel show, it used the concept to better effect than most others. Are you watching Continuum? The first season was pretty good, although I haven't seen any of season 2 yet.

Books What book are you currently reading?

Just started A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court. Very different from what I was expecting, but a lot of fun! I forgot how much I like Twain.

Completely obsessed with Lorde's Royals. I know it's everywhere, but I love it.

    Westerns

Oooh, cool. Maybe it will fill the hole in my life until Justified comes back on the air.

    Animation Does The Drawing Matter?

It depends, I think, I can watch something with just passable animation if it is good or it suits the style (Aqua Teen Hunger Force) but I can't imagine watching something pretty but boring for very long.

    Breaking Bad

Just watched the finale. I'm going to seriously miss this show, but glad the tension is over XD

    Comfort films

Yeah, there was a really good run of movies about then. It wasn't obvious at the time but man, 1993 was a really solid year; Groundhog Day, Sleepless in Seattle, Jurassic Park, The Fugitive, Schindler's List, Army of Darkness, The Age of Innocence, Nightmare Before Christmas, and a bunch more.

    Favorite comic books?

The first comics I really got into were some old Legion of Superheroes collections.

    Comfort films

Princess Bride, Galaxy Quest, Anchorman, and O Brother are definitely mood boosters. I'd add Groundhog Day and Scott Pilgrim now that I'm thinking about it. I have five of those on DVD, I still need to pick up Groundhog Day. Serenity I will watch in any mood, really :) I could probably...

    Books Favorite genre?

Ooh, that sounds pretty cool. I like historical fiction a lot, especially when it deals with real figures. I've mostly read 19th and 20th Century set stuff, like The Alienist or Carter Meets The Devil, but I'll have to check this one out.
