As RascalCoon, I am a proud resident of Rosemont, Chicago, Illinois, and I proudly identify as a furry with a raccoon fursona. My love for this community is deeply ingrained in me, but it hasn't always been easy to fully embrace it.
I am a survivor of the Midwest FurFest attacks, an experience that was traumatic and deeply troubling. It was a time when I realized how much hate and misunderstanding there was towards furries. But, it also reinforced my belief that we are not bad people, and our community does not cause any harm. In fact, furries are some of the kindest and most welcoming people I've ever met. We simply love to dress up and express ourselves through our fursonas.
Outside of the furry community, I enjoy a variety of hobbies. One of my favorites is working as a costume designer for fellow furries. It allows me to combine my love for fashion with my passion for furry culture. I enjoy the challenge of bringing unique fursonas to life through costumes, and seeing the joy it brings to my clients is truly rewarding.
Despite the challenges faced by the furry community, I remain proud of who I am and what we stand for. As RascalCoon, I hope to continue promoting positivity and acceptance within the furry community, as well as educate those outside of it about our culture and beliefs. I believe that the more people understand and accept us, the more we can all coexist peacefully and thrive together.
Overall, being a furry has brought so much joy and fulfillment into my life. Through my experiences and involvement in the furry community, I have met amazing individuals who have become lifelong friends. I am grateful for this unique aspect of my identity, and I look forward to continuing to grow and express myself as RascalCoon.
