It's the "Americanization" otakus didn't ask for, but normal people will enjoy it or, at least, enjoy better than the live-action Japanese series, because those over-the-top anime-based acting is so cringe no one other than otakus enjoy it. And those arguments "whitewashing" is so pathetic...
