Expectations keep clashing with what is delivered. Fans want something closer to the games, but the films avoid that path. Saying they respect the “spirit” is not enough. The story itself needs attention. Until that changes, the same complaints will continue.
Not at all, because majority of adaptations of video games are not faithful adaptations. They are terrible adaptations that use just too much liberty. And as a Resident Evil fan, I have never seen any good live-action Resident Evil movie. They had murdered Resident Evil way too much.
People warned them after Part 6 and they still didn’t learn. JoJo works best weekly. Half the fun is the discussion, theories, memes. Batch release just kills the community vibe.
Alyson Court’s appearance as Claire was a highlight for me because it connects directly to the franchise roots. Compared to official films, this feels personal and meaningful. I especially appreciated that it doesn’t rely on explosions or confusing action sequences. The pacing and attention to...
This is hilarious. Portland turning into Stomptown? Yeah, that tracks. We've got enough problems without a 300-foot monster adding to the list. The city council can't even fix a streetlight, imagine them trying to fight Godzilla. At least the comic sounds fun and it gives local artists cameos...
Okay I know it’s basic but the Genichiro fight in Sekiro. That dude is so fast and aggressive, first time I fought him I thought the game was impossible. Then after you learn his patterns it clicks and suddenly you’re parrying everything. The shift from feeling hopeless to feeling like a shinobi...
Trickster was never my favorite killer so I’m not sure about playing him again even with the new skin. Still, running through night markets and nightclubs while dodging a holographic murderer sounds cool. Kwon Tae-Young’s perks seem made for good teammates which is rare. I will try the chapter...
This is the kind of homebrew I’ve been waiting for. Not another shooter or platformer clone—actual story with characters you want to follow. Allison seems like a chaotic little gremlin and I’m here for it. The fact that episode three barely has her in it but still connects everything shows real...
Player numbers were low and streamers stopped playing quickly. In modern gaming, if content creators lose interest, casual players follow. That is reality now. I think Wildlight misread the market. Hero shooters had their peak years ago. Overwatch already established the formula. To compete, you...
Kyra as the protagonist is a nice change from human characters. The planet Aethos setting with ruined humanity backstory gives it some weight. Cryo Cannon turning enemies into platforms is genius. Already backed the $60 boxed version because I want the manual and full package. Retrobro’s style...
I’ve always had a soft spot for low-budget horror, and Violent New Breed seems like it hits all the notes. I like that it’s shot on camcorders because that adds a certain gritty energy that no fancy camera can replicate. The plot is ridiculous in the best way — demons, Antichrist, street drugs —...
The upgrades and monster stealing remind me a bit of other ARPGs I’ve played, but the punk theme makes it feel unique. I’m interested in seeing more gameplay footage.
Short, punchy, and different. That’s what I think of the game so far. It doesn’t need a complicated story if the combat and...
I am glad fans finally got what they wanted, but I am tired of collector culture in general. Every physical release now feels like an event with tiers and pressure. I just want a disc that plays the game. Nothing more. Still, I cannot deny that Hi-Fi Rush earned this. It was creative and...
I was always a bit sad that Warm Bodies never got a sequel because the story and the idea of a zombie with feelings had so much potential to explore. Seeing Davey in Stupid Never Dies makes me feel like we’re finally getting a spiritual successor, just in video game form. I like that it keeps...
I never thought I’d be this invested in Grace Ashcroft, but after the trailer, I’m intrigued. Her connection to Alyssa Ashcroft gives her a personal reason to confront the horrors at Wrenwood Hotel, which is more compelling than just surviving. Leon’s presence adds excitement, but I feel like...
