First Terminator: Dark Fate Trailer Is Out
The future is inevitable: Linda Hamilton will return as Sarah Connor in Terminator: Dark Fate, the first robot-uprising sequel since T2 to have original director James Cameron at the helm. Because Cameron (for the most part) knows what he’s doing, this film will ignore every bad Terminator sequel and consider only the first and second movies canon.
Sarah and John Connor succeeded in preventing the apocalypse. But many years later, the machines have found another way to take over, and they’re now after a different savior, played by Natalia Reyes. Ms. Connor may be getting up in years, but there will be NO terminating on HER watch!
Gabriel Luna plays the new Terminator model, which from appearance we’re guessing is made of nanomachines (actually, if the machines sent nanobots back in time and everybody breathed them, humanity wouldn’t stand a chance….but it wouldn’t be quite as action-y, so forget it). And what role does Mackenzie Davis play: human or bot? No one knew the answer until today, when the trailer revealed BOTH answers are right. She’s a half-machine cyborg, sent back to protect Natalia’s character.
And yes, Arnold Schwarzenegger will return as the T-800…..we think. His role in this trailer is weird: Sarah walks up to a house and a T-800 with a gray beard answers the door. Our theory is that this isn’t the T-800 at all, but the original human man that the machines based the robot’s look on in the dark future.
She’s going hunting….Terminator: Dark Fate opens November 1, 2019.
