Fan Made Game Is Essentially Mario Maker For Mega Man
Those who have always wanted to create their own Mega Man levels are in luck as a new fan-created game looks set to give users that power when it releases in the near future. Mega Maker is basically a Mega Man themed version of Mario Maker that allows players to customize their own levels, boss encounters, and puzzles.
Using sound effects, music, and art assets from Mega Man 1 through 6, it will launch on PC after almost a year of development. The team behind the project describe it as “a new and accessible way to create and share your own Mega Man levels. From full-length Robot Master stages to puzzle levels, anything goes! Upload your levels to share them with the world or play levels created by other users with ease!”
The fact that the game uses assets ripped directly from Capcom’s games and that they have set up a Patreon to meet running costs for their server means that this could easily be shut down by the publisher before it ever officially releases. However, Capcom have previously allowed other fan projects to continue, even helping to publish one in 2012.

Sounds awesome to me. 🙂 Anyway, Mario Maker always seemed like it would be an incredibly fun game. Nonetheless, I never really considered a "maker" type thing for other games. Oh, by the way, one game that would be good for a maker would be Sonic. In fact, I think there will probably be one out eventually.

Wow, that does look pretty awesome. Mario Maker is already a good and challenging game that has a lot of creativity in it. Nice to see other games are going in its direction.
