Emma Stone – Dangling on the Web

The first time I saw Emma Stone she was co-starring in the Columbia Pictures production, The Amazing Spider-Man. I wondered where had I seen her before. She wasn’t who I thought of when I saw Gwen Stacy. She was more outgoing, decisive, and brave.  She practically leapt out of the script and became a live personality favorite.

I am not a huge fan of female screen icons who are forced by the script to overpower their onscreen partners. Instead, this actress naturally stole the stage playing more than a love interest to the hero. So, like many fans, I asked who is the maiden dangling from the web?

Who is Emily Jones

Affectionately called ‘Emma’, Emily Jean Stone was on November 6, 1988, in Scottsdale, Arizona, where she grew up. While dealing with epilepsy, she started acting when she was a child appearing in the theatrical drama The Wind in the Willows (2000).  Four years later she made her TV debut in the drama In Search of the New Partridge Family (2004).

Onto the Big Screen

Stone played various roles in small comedies but one in particular in 2010 she appeared in a leading role in Easy A, for which she was nominated for the Golden Globe Awards for Best Actress.

In 2012 she made international acclaim when she appeared alongside Andrew Garfield in the American superhero film, The Amazing Spider-Man.

Accolades for Stone

She has won her fair share of awards and is one of the most influential people in the world, or so thinks Times who placed in the top 100 most influential persons in the world. In 2016 she went on to win the Academy Awards for Best Actress for her role in La La Land.

Stone has been nominated for three Academy Awards: Best Supporting Actress for Birdman and The Favourite, and Best Actress for La La Land; and four British Academy Film Awards: BAFTA Rising Star Award, Best Supporting Actress for Birdman and The Favourite, and Best Actress in a Leading Role for La La Land. She won both her nominations for La La Land. Other awards for the film include Best Actress in a Comedy or Musical at the 74th Golden Globe Awards, Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role at the 23rd Screen Actors Guild Awards, and Volpi Cup for Best Actress at Venice Film Festival.

Stone is happily married to David McCary and they are proud parents of one daughter, Jean Louise. She is a staunch defender of the planet and has been active in various fundraising events for the Earth awareness program.

She was instrumental in the creation of the women’s rights organization Time’s Up, which was created along with 300 women from Hollywood. Like most of her fans, Emma Stone is more than a screen beauty, she is an amazing actor worthy of the praise and accolades that the world has crowned her.

She will continue to liven up our screens with more lifelike action and drama. She may be seen again, dangling from a web of her own.

The first time I saw her is in the Anna Faris movie Housebunny. Then after that I saw her in a row of highschool romcoms like Easy A.

Lalaland is one of my all-time favorite movies and Emma Stone's performance in it was nothing short of brilliant. She definitely deserved that Golden Globe nomination

I remember seeing Emma Stone for the first time in The House Bunny, and even though she was in a supporting part, she completely stole the show. Something about her innate charisma and humorous timing made her stand out from the rest of the cast. After a few years, she's become one of the industry's most regarded and acclaimed actresses. It's been incredible to watch her career bloom and witness her play such a wide range of parts, from the fiery Gwen Stacy to the fragile but resolute Mia in La La Land. Cruella de Vil shown that she can also play baddies.

She almost ruined her career with the movie Aloha where she played a Chinese Hawaiian role. She apologized to Asian Americans after the controversy.

Its so cool to see Hollywood celebrity who's so dedicated to environmental causes. It can be all too easy for famous people to get caught up in their own bubble and lose touch with the issues affecting the wider world. But Emma Stone has consistently shown that she's committed to using her platform for good. Whether it's through her support of the Earth awareness program or her involvement in Time's Up, she's a shining example of someone who's using her influence to make a positive difference.

She has a way of stealing the spotlight in every role she takes on, without overpowering her co-stars. It's a rare gift to be able to convey so much emotion and depth with such subtlety. I'm not surprised she has won so many accolades for her work.

I think what sets Emma Stone apart from other actresses is her authenticity. She never seems like she's playing a role - she just inhabits the character completely. Whether she's playing a high school student or a Hollywood starlet, she brings a sense of realness to every performance. It's a rare quality that makes her stand out in a sea of talented performers.
