THQ Nordic and Piranha Bytes have released a prologue trailer for the upcoming science fantasy RPG, ELEX. You can check out the new trailer in the player below. The game is scheduled for a Q3 release later this year.
The new prologue gives gamers a look up to the point where they will be thrown into the world of the game. The world is now under the control of a substance called Elex. The game is set on the world of Magalan, a home to civilization of millions. The world is hit with a comet, and the earthquakes devastate cities and firestorms swept over the planet. The world then fell into darkness, and the survivors emerge in an unrecognizable world.
Elex is developed by Piranha Bytes, the developers behind Gothic and Risen. The game is described as a handcrafted action RPG that’s set in an post-apocalyptic sci-fi universe. The game will feature a huge, seamless open world with original characters, mutated creatures, and moral choices. The game will feature a wide selection of weaponry, including axes, bow and arrows, crossbows, harpoons, shotguns, plasma rifles, and flame throwers. The game will have a weapon or combat style for every type of fighter.
Piranha Bytes is promising that every choice made in ELEX will forge the future of the game’s world. It should be interesting to see how it pans out.
