Dying Light: New Edition Goes Gold
Techland has officially confirmed that the new expanded edition of the first-person, zombie survival game, Dying Light: The Following – Enhanced Edition, has gone gold. The expanded edition, which includes all the core game, all the DLC content released so far and the new story expansion The Following, will be released this month. The game will begin rolling out to retailers on February 9. However, retail and digital availability for the Enhanced Edition will vary across the globe. As a result, Techland has released a statement and an infographic on the game’s global release dates. You can check out the statement and infographic below:
Dear fans,
As we announced last week, Dying Light: The Following – Enhanced Edition has gone gold. This means the game is ready, and the discs are now being packed and shipped to stores where it will be available starting February 9th. Keep in mind that retail and digital availability may vary slightly between platforms or countries (check below).
The launch of Dying Light: The Following – Enhanced Edition also means that the original version is going to be increasingly harder to come by. Digitally, it’ll disappear instantly on February 9th. As for retail, we will cease shipping additional copies, so it will remain available only as long as stocks last. If you plan to grab your copy of the vanilla Dying Light at a reduced price, or want the original box for your collection, now is the best time to do it.
Whatever your choice, we hope you have zombie-apocalyptic plans for February.
It looks like players in Japan will have the longest wait to get the expansion, as it won’t be hitting in that region until April 21. The Following – Enhanced Edition arrives on February 9 in North America for Windows PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The game will be available as a physical disc release or a digital download. Players who already have the base version of the game will be able to buy the expansion The Following individually as DLC.
