Dying Light Gets Sun Eclipse Community Bounty Weekend
Techland officially announced this week that Dying Light: The Following – Enhanced Edition will receive its second community bounty this weekend. For this weekend for the period of May 13-15, all the players for Dying Light can team up to try and collectively kill 2,500,000 Volatiles. The Volatiles are the game’s most fearsome enemies that only appear at night. Techland has dubbed this second community bounty weekend the “Sun Eclipse,” and you can check out the reveal trailer below.
For this weekend, reaching the group goal within the time limit will get players an exclusive outfit for Kyle Crane in the game. All participants will receive a special weapon docket for taking part in the activity. Speaking on the event, game producer TYmon Smektala stated, “We wanted to give players more opportunities to kill Volatiles. We’re making the night in the game twice as long during the event, so it’s easier to reach the goal. It might be harder to survive, though!”
Fans will be able to track the cumulative scores at DyingLightGame.com/bounties. The website will have a countdown timer for the beginning of the event and a live community score counter. Only players who participate in the event will receive the rewards. The start time is 12PM PST on May 13. It will end on May 15 at 10PM PST. The event will be playable for the game across PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC.
