Alkemi officially announced the launch of the new, upcoming action-RPG, Drifting Lands, for June 5. The game will Windows PC and Mac OS later next month. You can also check out a new gameplay trailer int he player below.
The game will feature intense combat of shmup gameplay, along with the freedom of character progression usually found in action-RPG type games. The game also includes a full story mode with randomly generated enemies. Drifting Lands features 100 levels of difficulty for players that are newcomers or seasoned veterans for which they can test their skills. The game also has competitive missions with pre-set enemies.
Drifting Lands is set in a shattered world, and totalitarian corporations are doing battle in order to gain control over nature’s last remaining resources. Players take control of a new member of a group of outlaws, smugglers and mercenaries who fight for the right to survive and become free. Gamers get to pilot a ship made to their specifications and style. Players can choose a ship with strong defense and heavy artillery or something more unique and different. There are three ship classes in Drifting Lands. Players can also customize their arsenal with 60 different skills, upgrade their stats, or loot gear from battles to build the perfect ship.
Drifting Lands hits Mac and Windows PC on June 5. However, it’s currently available now for Steam Early Access.
