The age of DOOM is nearly here. Bethesda Softworks has released the latest trailer ahead of the game’s upcoming launch, except this one is a live-action trailer directed by Joseph Kosinski. You might remember that Kosinski is the director behind such films as Oblivion and Tron: Legacy. He also directed a pretty exciting live-action trailer for Destiny. You can check out the “Fight Like Hell” cinematic trailer for the game in the player below.
The new trailer evokes the pillars of the DOOM gameplay in relentless combat, demons and big, awesome weapons. The video is only one minute of footage, but it is a lot of fun. It feels more like DOOM than really any of the disappointing 2005 live-action movie that starred The Rock and Karl Urban.
Bethesda has also confirmed the start of the DOOM Closed Multiplayer Beta. The beta session is set to run from March 31 to April 3 for all versions of the game. You can also check out a playlist of videos with lots of footage of the multiplayer to get you set if you were one of the lucky ones who will get to play the beta. DOOM arrives on Friday, May 13. The game will be available for PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One.
