Bethesda Softworks has revealed that they will soon be selecting players for the Doom Multiplayer Alpha, which is coming soon. According to an announcement on BethBlog.com, Bethesda is set to select players from the Wolfenstin: The New Order beta pool to participate in the upcoming alpha test. Players who bought Wolfenstein on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC will be eligible for the upcoming Doom Multiplayer Alpha version by redeeming their Doom beta code they received when they bought the game. In addition, if you purchased the game digitally via Steam, PSN or Xbox One, you are already ready for the alpha whenever it is ready to star.
Bethesda also confirmed that when the Doom multiplayer beta is ready, it will be eligible to all players who pre-ordered Wolfenstein: The New Order. However, the beta version will not launch until some time in 2016 ahead of Doom’s upcoming Spring 2016 release.
Attendees at QuakeCon 2015 may be the first to go hands on with pre-alpha DOOM multiplayer, but we still have big plans for fans that pre-ordered Wolfenstein: The New Order. Doom is set for a second quarter 2016 release date. The game will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC.
