Dicks: The Musical is the very first Musical film from A-24. A-24 movies always lack the budget but their movies are always full of hearts. They had won awards and they even had box office success. This company is known for taking risks. So It decided to make Dicks: The Musical and make a musical the whole family cannot watch. Megan Thee Stallion had proven her popularity with her success in the Music Charts with lyrics your church going grandma will refuse to hear.
Aaron Jackson and Josh Sharp plays the lead as separated Identical twins who met for the first time. They are not related but they do like twin. This movie was an adaptation of a stage show titled F*cking Identical Twins. They are the original actors from the stage version. Usually when a musical gets adapted, the stage cast got replaced by mainstream actors.
Expect the comedy of this film to be offensive and crass because it will be directed by Larry Charles. He directed The Dictator (2012) and Brüno (2009). People Behind Borat are the dirty minds for this movie.
DICKS: THE MUSICAL Official Trailer
Two business rivals realize that the two of them are identical twins. They try to Pull a 90s Lindsay Lohan and switch places so they can set up their parents.(Megan Mullally and Nathan Lane) They want to pull a “Parent Trap” in hopes their parents will be back together so they can be a family. Life is not a Disney movie though because there is no way their parents will be back together. Their father has a secret.. He likes the first word of this movie’s title. I don’t think this movie is for everyone but I know conservative Youtubers will target this on their vlogs. Dicks: the Musical will be erecting on theaters this coming September 2023.
