THQ Nordic officially announced this week that the classic game Destroy All Humans will be released for the PlayStation 4. The original PlayStation 2 classic is getting remastered for the PlayStation 4. The game is available now as a digital download for $19.99.
Players can return to the classic game in the role of Crypto, an alien who is on a mission to both rescue another one of his alien species, the Furon, from the United States Army and also harvest all the human DNA he can find along the way. The game is set in a number of historical locations across America in 1959. The game features Crypto’s assault on the human race and the U.S. government. He does this all in an effort to disguise his alien invasion as a community plot.
Speaking on the news THQ Nordic‘s Reinhard Pollice stated in a press release: “We’re happy to finally answer fans’ questions about what’s next for the Destroy All Humans franchise. Remastering the original for PS4 somehow makes every bovine encounter and governmental mishap even funnier – Crypto is at his absolute best on PS4!”
Throughout the game, players as Crypto can once again don the special Furon weaponry, such as his flying saucer and the Death Ray. There’s also the Abducto Beam, which can lift up people and objects and then throw them into the air. Some of the other classic weapons include the Quantum Deconstructor, the Zap-O-Matic, the Disintegrator Ray, and of course, the Anal Probe.
Destroy All Humans is available now for PlayStation 4.
