Demon Slayer: Swordsmith Village Arc Begins English Dub This Weekend
This happens to be a HUGE weekend for followers of prestige television. Succession, Barry, and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel are ALL premiering their series finales at the same time. The streamers are gonna need some new buzzworthy shows when all this is through! Too bad they’d have to actually pay their writers for that to happen. There may not be any good American TV produced for a while. Guess there’s always anime.
Demon Slayer, one of our modern era’s most popular shonen, has returned once again to adapt the manga’s Swordsmith Village Arc. Those who prefer the dub to the sub will be pleased to learn it premieres this Sunday. In this latest chapter, Tanjiro’s journey leads him to the titular village where he reunites with two of the Demon Slayer Corps’ highest-ranking swordsmen: Mist Hashira Muichiro Tokito and Love Hashira Mitsuri Kanroji. He will need the new allies for what’s ahead — the village is about to face a massive demon attack.
The English actors from the previous seasons are returning for this one, including Zach Aguilar as Tanjiro Kamado, Abby Trott as Nezuko Kamado, Aleks Le as Zenitsu Agatsuma, Bryce Papenbrook as Inosuke Hashibira, Griffin Burns as Muichiro Tokito, Kira Buckland as Mitsuri Kanroji, Zeno Robinson as Genya, Christopher Corey Smith as Hantengu, and Brent Mukai as Gyokko.
There are also plans for this arc to be dubbed in Latin American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, French, German, and Hindi. But the English dub premieres May 28 on Crunchyroll.
