For most, death is the end, but in this indie roguelike it is only the beginning. Death Kid is leaping from Playstation and Steam to both Nintendo Switch and Xbox!

Roguelikes have always been a favorite genre of mine thanks to the fun and addicting gameplay loop these games provide. Whether it’s Enter the Gungeon, The Binding of Isaac, or Slay the Spire, the replayablility and satisfying growth in the face of difficulty has always been appealing. Especially, when a roguelike puts a new spin on the formula, like Death Kid.

While Death Kid has you going through the normal “die and retry” style that roguelikes are known for, it throws a wrench into the equation. Your success is dependent on protecting a group of souls, which you must keep alive to achieve your goals and proceed through the well. Fail to protect them, and you’ll find yourself right back at the beginning.

It’s a fascinating spin on the genre, and now you can get this game on two new platforms. Xbox players will now be able to purchase this game for their preferred console, while Nintendo Switch players can take Death Kid on the go! I honestly can't wait for Wicked: For Good! Part One was a dream come true, and now the excitement for the sequel is real. Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande completely owned their roles as Elphaba and Glinda, and it’s so refreshing to see a musical that appeals to both fans of the original Broadway show and newcomers. The viral dance trend from “What Is This Feeling?” has only made me more hyped! The chemistry between the cast was undeniable, and I think the success of this movie shows just how timeless the story is.

So, I may have driven my husband a little crazy today… I couldn’t stop singing “Popular” off-key all day. Like, the whole day. I’m not even sure why, it just kept coming to me! I was having a blast, but poor guy was NOT having it. He kept giving me that look like, “Please, make it stop!” It’s honestly my favorite song from Wicked, but I think I’ll be in the doghouse for a while. Every time I hit a note way off, he just sighs and shakes his head. I’m not sure he’ll ever look at “Popular” the same way again! But hey, at least I’m enjoying it, even if my poor hubby isn’t!

I’ve watched Wicked three times already, and I’m still not over it! Every time, I find something new to love about it. The performances from Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande are just chef’s kiss perfect. And the more I watch, the more I appreciate the little details in the set design and how they bring Oz to life in such a unique way. But as much as I adore Part One, I’m already thinking about Part Two and the future of the franchise. I really hope they go for Son of a Witch next because that story has so much depth and could give us a darker, more mature direction. Elphaba’s son has such a complicated legacy to explore, and I think it would be an amazing way to continue the story. At the same time, a remake of Oz could be incredible too, but I feel like there’s so much more to unpack with Son of a Witch. Either way, I’ll be there opening night!

I LOVE Wicked! The movie is everything I hoped for, and I feel like it’s finally time that people who aren’t obsessed with musicals start taking them seriously. Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba is absolutely magical (pun intended), and I just can’t get over how well Ariana Grande plays Glinda. It’s not often we see a musical that breaks out of its niche and becomes a mainstream hit like this. I know some people are skeptical, but I think this is only the beginning for Wicked. I’m so glad that they’re bringing in new fans, and I can’t wait to see what the sequels bring!

Okay, I’ve got to share this—Wicked totally turned my niece into a Dorothy hater, and it’s all because of how much the movie made the Wicked Witch of the West so likable! She’s always loved the idea of Oz, but after seeing Wicked, she just can’t get behind Dorothy anymore. She’s like, “Why is everyone obsessed with Dorothy when Elphaba is so much more interesting?” I honestly get it! The movie did such a great job showing Elphaba’s backstory and struggles, and you just can’t help but root for her, even though she’s the so-called villain. My niece has been telling everyone that Elphaba is the true hero of the story, and I don’t even blame her! Wicked really flipped the script on how we view the characters from the original Wizard of Oz. Dorothy just doesn’t seem as exciting when you compare her to the complexities of Elphaba. It's funny how a musical can turn your whole perspective around!

I’m not sure about a remake of Oz. It’s already been done, and honestly, it’s such a classic that I don’t think any remake can do it justice. I’d much rather see Son of a Witch adapted. There’s more room to explore new stories, and it’s much more aligned with the tone that Wicked set. Plus, I’ve always thought that Elphaba’s son could make for such an interesting character, especially with the whole dynamic between him and Dorothy. It’s darker, grittier, and I think it would push the boundaries of what people expect from Oz.

I'm so excited for For Good! The first movie already blew me away, and knowing that Jon M. Chu is behind the second one has me even more hopeful. The soundtrack was perfection in Part One, so I’m thrilled to hear songs like No Good Deed will be featured. I’m especially curious about how Cynthia Erivo will handle that powerhouse number! I love the exploration of consequences

Holding Space for this one! Wicked is EVERYTHING, and I’m so hyped for For Good! I think the new title is a perfect fit. I’ve been obsessed with the Wicked musical for years, so seeing this movie adaptation feels like a dream come true. I’m especially interested in seeing how Elphaba handles being ostracized. Plus, I’ve heard No Good Deed is going to be epic, and I can already picture Cynthia’s performance! This movie is going to be a cultural reset.

I can't believe Jon M. Chu got snubbed for an Oscar nomination! Both Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande getting acting nominations is incredible, but seriously, how is the director being overlooked here? Wicked Part One was a cinematic masterpiece—visually stunning, emotionally charged, and packed with performances that are already iconic. If it weren’t for Chu’s vision, none of that would’ve come together so flawlessly. The fact that he didn’t get recognized is an absolute joke. How are we supposed to take the Oscars seriously if they can’t even give credit where it’s due? Chu put in the work, and it's insulting that he's been completely snubbed while others get their well-deserved accolades. It’s a slap in the face to the entire Wicked team. I know Oscars aren’t the end-all, but come on, this is blatant disrespect.
