Free is for players new to the game, Premium is for players who have spent $5 or more on content in-game and offers more inventory slots among other things, Legendary is $15 a month a grants access to all downloadable content for the duration of your subscription. Legendary is about to add a few new features that might make paying a monthly fee a lot easier for players to swallow.
Players with a recurring membership will receive 500 Station Cash (PC)/Loyalty Points (PS3) each month which is the equivalent to $5. On PS3, Skeets’ Legendary Emporium will be found in police stations and safe houses where you can purchase special items and best-selling items just as you would in the regular marketplace using your Loyalty Points.
A new item called the Prometheum Lockbox. These Lockboxes have a chance of dropping from enemies throughout the game (after level 10). These Lockboxes will grant you great items that you can’t get anywhere else in the game. While Free and Premium players can still pick up these Lockboxes, they will have to pay for a key to open them in the marketplace. Legendary players can open them for free.
The replay badge will be another new item coming to Legendary. Replay Badges allow anyone to reset their instance loot lockouts. With replay badges, you can go right back into a raid you’ve just completed and continue to reap it’s rewards.
All these features are coming to the Legendary access level of DC Universe: Online April 3rd on PS3 and PC.
