The supporting cast of Marvel’s Iron Fist series is starting to take shape. Entertainment Weekly reports that the next role has been cast for the show in classic Marvel Comics character, Colleen Wing. She will be played in the show by actress Jessica Henwick, who has previously appeared in Star Wars: The Force Awakens as the Resistance X-Wing pilot Jessika Pava and Nymeria Sand in Game of Thrones.
In the Iron Fist, Henwick will portray the martial arts expert named Colleen Wing, who is a martial artist running her own dojo. In the series, she will serve as an ally to Danny Rand aka Iron Fist after he returns to his life in New York. Henwick also starred in the BBC TV series Spirit Warriors. Some fans might note that two of the main cast members officially cast for the show both have featured roles from Game of Thrones. Star Finn Jones portrays Ser Loras Tyrell in the HBO series.
In Iron Fist, billionaire Rand returns to New York after being gone missing for years. He will set out to fight against the criminal element that is corrupting New York City with his kung-fu mastery and ability to summon the power of Iron Fist. Scott Buck is serving as the showrunner for the series.
The first season of Iron Fist will be streamed in full on Netflix. The release date will be revealed later on.
