Focus Home Interactive and Cyanide Studio released the new “Depths of Madness” video for the upcoming Call of Cthulhu game. You can check out the video in the player below.
The new trailer showcases Pierce’s submersion into the depths of madness in the world of the game. Pierce, a private detective, is on the case to investigate the mysterious death on Darkwater Island in Boston, Massachusetts. The person who died is an acclaimed artist. While Pierce likes to usually trust his instinct, there’s been some whale mutilations and disappearing bodies lately. On top of that, reality is becoming skewed.
Pierce’s investigation leads him closer and closer to the influence of the Great Dreamer, and you will soon start doubting everything you see. Players will have to learn between the balance of their own sanity and their determination to discovering the truth of what lurks in the dark shadows. However, madness might be the only way for Edward Pierce to discover the truth in the game.
So far, Call of Cthulhu is looking promising. This might hopefully be the great video game H.P. Lovecraft fans have been waiting for. The new game arrives later this year. It will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC.
