Battlefield 1 Details Emerge From Alpha Leak
EA have been running an exclusive alpha test for their upcoming shooter Battlefield 1 with a small group of users. However, one of those has now taken to Reddit to reveal a host of new information about the game that they have uncovered from datamining the files that had to be downloaded to play the early version of the title.
Obviously, this information contains some spoilers so if you don’t want to know anything about the story, the characters or the types of weapons that will be included, it would be best to stop reading now.
According to the leak, the campaign for Battlefield 1 will be split over seven individual episodes, including a prologue and an epilogue while some of the most important characters will be called McManus, Finch, Edwards, Townsend and Pritchard.
The information also reveals that players will be able to customize the appearance of their own soldier when playing online. The game will provide 11 different model skins to choose from, let them ride on horseback and play in two new games modes called Breakthrough and Possession in addition to the usual gametypes.
Battlefield 1 is due to release on 21 October on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, though it will not be available on previous-generation consoles. An open beta is set to launch later in the summer.
