High Octane Pictures has officially released their latest sci-fi action feature, Batallion, on demand. Described by the distributor as “Pacific Rim meets Independence Day,” ot’s got everything: trans-dimensional robots, an army of Marines, massive conflicts, giant spaceships, explosions, and a surfer dude. The movie takes place in Los Angeles, but was filmed in Queensland, Australia.
When a devastating attack on Los Angeles by an army of machines from a parallel universe sparks a massive world war, Californian surfer John Blake joins up with the US Marines to head across the Pacific to join the fight against the machines.
Batallion was written and directed by Michael Miller, and stars Jesse Richardson (“Riot Girl”), Ellen Williams (Wyrmwood: Road of the Dead), and Michael Thomson (Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince) Watch for it on VOD platforms starting today, from High Octane Pictures.
