Batman v Superman: Two New TV Spots Released

DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Pictures surprised everyone today with the release of two, brand-new TV spots for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. One in particular, features a fun, yet brief, confrontation between the titular heroes: The Big Blue, Superman; and The Dark Knight, Batman. You can check out both videos below.

The first spot is actually quite iconic, simple, yet effective. Batman looks to be driving into Superman in the Batmobile. Of course since its Superman, it harmlessly bounces off of him. Batman exits his mangled ride and asks Superman, “Tell me, do you bleed?” Superman doesn’t seem to respond and wordlessly flies away. As Batman looks on, he says, “You will.” This footage was very well done. One almost wishes this was in fact the actual second trailer instead of what was released recently which gives away a lot of major reveals and plot points for the film. It seemed that Batman’s voice is almost reverberating, like there is some sort of voice modulator embedded in his suit or cowl.

A second TV spot was also released today. It’s another version of the Clark Kent, Bruce Wayne and Lex Luthor bit from the more recent trailer. The older Wayne even acts a little condescending toward Kent, calling him “son.”

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is just over three months away. The cinematic smackdown that will pit Batman against Superman hits theaters on March 25, 2016.
