Batman: Return to Arkham Might Drop in November
It looks like the release period for the delayed Batman: Return to Arkham collection has been revealed. According to a report by Eurogamer, the collection will launch in November at the very earliest. So a fall/winter release seems likely for the game. This is according to multiple sources close to the game.
The collection was originally scheduled for a July 26 release, but it was delayed indefinitely last month by Warner Bros. Interactive. Obviously, none of this has been confirmed by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. So it could be delayed as far back as early 2017 for all we know.
In addition, the report indicates that sources said the collection was not shaping up well for a July launch. Also, developer Virtuous Games was struggling with frame rate issues. Warner Bros. Interactive had said the team wanted more time to deliver the most polished Batman Arkham gaming experience possible. The company’s statement read: “After reviewing the progress of the project, the team at WB Games has decided to delay the release of Batman: Return to Arkham to give the team at Virtuous Games additional time to deliver a polished Batman Arkham game experience. We do not have a release date yet and will be sure to communicate that once we are sure the game will be ready. We know this is disappointing news, but we feel the extra time will allow the team to create the best gaming experience for our fans.”
Batman: Return to Arkham is due out for Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Rocksteady Studios, the creators of the Batman Arkham franchise, are also working on the Batman Arkham VR game for PlayStation VR.
