Batman Arkham Knight Video Reveals the Fantastic Voice Cast

Warner Bros. Interactive and DC Entertainment have revealed the main voice-over cast for the highly anticipated sequel, Batman Arkham Knight, the final game in Rocksteady Studios‘ Batman: Arkham Trilogy. In addition, a new behind-the-scenes featurette video featuring some new interview clips with the voice-over cast was released. You can check out the video below.

New to the voice-over cast are: Jonathan Banks (Breaking Bad, Better Call Join) is the new voice of Commissioner James Gordon; Ashley Greene (The Twilight Saga) is the new voice of Barbara Gordon; John Noble is the new voice of Scarecrow aka Dr. Jonathan Crane; and finally, Scott Porter (Friday Night Lights, Hart of Dixie) is the new voice of Nightwing aka Dick Grayson. They join the cast alongside returning voice cast members Kevin Conroy as Batman aka Bruce Wayne, Tara Strong as Harley Quinn aka Harleen Quinzel, Troy Baker as Two-Face aka Harvey Dent, and Nolan North as Penguin aka Oswald Cobblepot.

The video neglected to reveal the voice actor behind the Arkham Knight. I have read previously that the voice of the character is also Troy Baker, which Rocksteady has not yet confirmed. Some suspect that it would raise suspicion that the character’s identity is in fact The Joker, who Rocksteady proclaims is definitely still dead after Batman: Arkham City. The reason for the suspicion is because Baker voiced The Joker in the franchise prequel, Batman: Arkham Origins, since Mark Hamill essentially retired as playing the character in the last Batman Arkham game. One probably hopes the Arkham Knight does not turn out to be some resurrected form of The Joker, but I suppose we shall see in a matter of weeks.

Batman Arkham Knight finally hits the shelves next month on June 23. The game will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC.
