“Subject” Announced For Feature Film Development
Continuance Pictures is a film production company based in Melbourne and Brisbane, Australia that specializes in independent and creator-driven art films. “Our aim was to establish a platform for Australian talent and provide opportunities for emerging filmmakers everywhere,” says Continuance co-founder David Gim. Continuance announced today they’re developing the short film “Subject” into a full-length feature. The short, originally submitted for Continuance’s short film initiative called “Continue,” was written by Los Angeles native Vincent Befi and will be directed by award-winning Australian filmmaker Tristan Barr. Barr is most known for Watch This Sunset, a movie he amazingly filmed and completed in just one take. Not much is known about “Subject” at this time but the description of the short reads, “The complex, frightening story of a prison inmate chosen to participate in a secretive government study.” The movie version has already been cast, with Australian actor Stephen Phillips (TV’s “The Leftovers”, “Winners & Losers”) playing the lead alongside Gabriel Seow, Cecilia Low and Barr himself.
