Ashwalkers is a black and white survival sim by dev studio Nameless XIII, set in a post-apocalyptic world. The studio, which is new, specializes in “videogames about surviving in hostile worlds while facing moral dilemmas.” Ashwalkers is just the first, and it’s available as of today on Steam.
In Ashwalkers, you control four explorers who call themselves The Section, emerging from the underground home where their community has lived for 200 years. Your goal is to find a safe area above ground to restart society, but your immediate problem will be just staying alive. The events that caused this catastrophe may have been centuries ago, but the Earth is still feeling their effects. Ashwalkers also has a strong character-driven storyline and you’ll learn all about your four protagonists: “the brave captain of the group Petra, the pragmatic fighter Sinh, the young optimistic scholar Kali and the cautious scout Nadir.”
