Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania Final Trailer (we think)
Remember Loki last year, and his antics with the Time Bureau? Remember how he messed things up to the point that an unknown man who calls himself Kang the Conqueror was able to gain control of the entire organization? Here’s where that starts paying off: Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania is the first film in Marvel’s Phase 5, which Kang will be a big factor in.
Where is Scott Lang now? He’s dating Wasp and his daughter is a lot older. Because of all his superheroing, Scott has missed some important parts of her life. That’s when Kang shows up and claims he can send Lang through time to let him experience the big moments of her life in person — if he does Kang a favor. No, Scott, it’s a trap! He’s manipulating your emotions! You’ll turn into worms or something! (Well, he does at some point…)
If you were paying attention, you might have caught a glimpse of MODOK in there. The only action he’s gotten in the MCU to date is a stop-motion cartoon that Kevin Feige buried when he took over the television department. It was long thought that, as a giant head in a can, MODOK looked too silly to work in a live-action movie. But people also once assumed a tiny man with the power to control ants would never be a box office draw, so….here’s MODOK.
Can Ant-Man and Wasp defeat Kane? Definitely not…he’s the big bad in two upcoming Avengers movies. But I suppose they can try. Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania opens February 17.
