Akuma is the final addition to the first Battle Pass of Street Fighter 6. He appears older and more demonic compared to his previous appearances. While he originally began as a headswap of Ryu in Super Street Fighter II, the Master of Satsui no Hadou has evolved into a distinct fighter.
Despite sharing a similar moveset with Ryu and Ken, Akuma boasts a different playstyle. He seems slower but delivers stronger attacks. This unique approach has solidified him as one of Capcom’s most iconic villains.
Beyond Street Fighter, Akuma became a playable secret character in the fighting game X-Men: Children of the Atom and even received a Mecha version in Cyberbots. He frequently appears as a “go-to” character for Capcom in crossover games.

People who purchased the Year 1 Character Pass and Ultimate Pass will have immediate access to Akuma and his own stage. He will be available starting May 22nd. After that, fans will have to wait for the Year 2 character pass. It will be interesting to see which characters will return for the second season.
We never know what happens off-screen when the screen goes blank whenever he does this critical art. Well now for the first time, Capcom finally shows what happens off-screen, and it’s a stuff of nightmares. It is not gory but I find it more nightmare fuel than any Mortal Kombat Fatality. You are beaten up by thousands of Akumas. No Wonder this finisher means the fist of a thousand deaths. Though Akuma is portrayed as the villain even M. Bison is scared of, He is not that evil. He is more of a chaotic neutral. He may want to murder Ryu and Gouken, He is friends with Elena from Street Fighter III. Elena is known to be one of the purest and friendliest characters in the franchise. in Tekken 7, he is Good friends with Kazumi Mishima.
He also makes his money the legal way, running a humble fruit stall when he isn’t consumed by his pursuit of martial prowess. This unexpected occupation adds a layer of complexity to Akuma, showcasing a side of him that isn’t solely driven by violence.
Furthermore, the trailer reveals a surprising twist: Akuma isn’t entirely driven by a desire for destruction. He seems to be training the World Tour’s default protagonist, hinting at a potential mentorship or a more nuanced relationship between the two. While his ultimate goal remains to test his strength against worthy adversaries, his motivations extend beyond simply eliminating them.
