Vampire Academy is coming to Peacock this September 15, 2022. This drama fantasy explores the social stratification in a society inhabited by vampires. Sisi Stringer, who most recently portrayed Mileena in Mortal Kombat, will be donning fangs in the upcoming series. She will be playing the role of bloodsucker this time around.
It is based on the novel series by Richelle Mead. It got a movie adaptation in 2014 but was unsuccessful because of the Twilight comparisons. The novels are still successful enough to make an impact, so the franchise got a television reboot. Fans of the book are hoping for the success of the series. The movie didn’t get any sequels because of the poor box office. This series can finally adapt the whole book franchise if it’s renewed for future seasons.
Lissa Dragomir (Daniela Nieves) is groomed to be the next Queen of the Moroi Vampires. Her parents have high expectations of her. Politics is not really her thing, but her bloodline has already chosen her path. Rose Hathaway (Sisi Stringer) is a Dhampir Guardian, and she got trained to protect Lissa, and the two of them became close friends. Despite their social divides, they became best friends.
An unfortunate event will upend Lissa’s life. Because of the tragedy, she felt returning to the Vampire Academy would be difficult. Her friend Rose will help her navigate school challenges, from bullying to their romantic relationships with the boys.
Rose falls in love with Dimitri, the instructor, which is forbidden because he is a mentor and she is a student.
They exist to safeguard Lissa. Lissa, on the other hand, falls in love with Christian, even though he is an outcast and she is royalty. These girls must deal with their responsibilities while also balancing their personal lives.
