Theatrical Release Dates Announced For Attack On Titan: The Last Attack

-

Someday we won’t have to write up more pieces about Attack On Titan, but we guess that day is not today. They’ve found a way to stretch this whole thing out one more time: to edit the last two episodes, previously released as TV specials, into an omnibus movie. It’s called Attack On Titan: The Last Attack and like the Titans themselves, there’s no escape — it’s coming to a theater near you no matter where you live.

The day might vary, though. Attack On Titan: The Last Attack is opening globally, but will only play for one day in each region. North America is getting it February 10, so if for some reason the previous two dozen finales this show had weren’t enough, you can pay for this one. Here’s the full list of premieres by region:

Many years ago, the last remnants of humanity were forced to retreat behind the towering walls of a fortified city to escape the massive, man-eating Titans that roamed the land outside. Only the heroic members of the Survey Corps dared to stray beyond the safety of the walls – but even those brave warriors seldom returned alive. Those within the city clung to the illusion of a peaceful existence until the day that dream was shattered, and their slim chance at survival was reduced to one horrifying choice: kill – or be devoured! A young child, Eren Jaeger, lost his mother to these monstrous Titans on this fateful day, driving him to enlist in the Survey Corps and vowing to defeat the titans once and for all.

That’s the synopsis for the series, but not really for the movie. As you likely know by now, the situation changes quite drastically by the end, and humanity’s survival now depends on DEFEATING Eren Jaeger. Sad to see a once healthy man go south.

The very very last Attack On Titan thing (yeah right) will premiere here February 10.
