The Oscars will be having a fan favorite category

The Oscars are adding a new category from their roster of Awards.  Fans can become livid because their favorites got snubbed by the Academy. The Academy is known to be snobbish in Superhero Films, Rom Coms, Action, and horror. Appeasing the upset fans is a challenge, so this is their way to compensate.

There had been few exceptions, but they were a rarity. I can count through my fingers whenever a Superhero film or a horror movie wins that Golden naked man. The Academy does not seem to have the Pride to accept popular films as nominees for the best picture, so they compensated.

The New categories are Oscars Fan Favorite and  Oscars cheer moment. The fans can do their vote of this website. I can see a Marvel Cinematic Universe film finally winning an Award.  DC had won awards from Oscars before, so it is possible to win awards from the Academy, but they always Snub Marvel. Fans prefer seeing the Super Hero and Fantasy films nominated for Best Picture and Acting Awards.

 

 

It is just that The Oscars still refuse to take specific movie genres seriously. It is their rebellion from the mainstream because they used to be the mainstream. I won’t say this new category is terrible because the People’s Choice Awards had better winners than the Oscars at specific parts of history.

Some fans are passionate about trying to make their favorite films win. Then we also have trolls like this one.

Sadly this online Nomination is not internationally inclusive because only Americans can vote.  American voters’ only policy intend to prevent high population countries from campaigning their films. At least the Emmys allow foreigners to vote for the nominees. The most nominated films will be the ones to be announced for the Award night.
