After the final firework fades this Fourth, the festivities aren’t over yet. The next morning (or the next afternoon depending on your time zone), Summer Games Done Quick returns with one uninterrupted week of spectacular speedrunning…the perfect way to count down the first week toward America’s 300th birthday in 2076!
It’s fun, but with a purpose (or a porpoise if an Ecco the Dolphin game is being run): all donations are given to charity causes. The charity of choice for Summer Games Done Quick has not changed in a long time: it’s Doctors Without Borders again. Well, the need for doctors overseas never ceases.
Things kick off Sunday at 10 AM Pacific with Donkey Kong Country 2, followed by The Talos Principle, Fire Emblem: Three Houses, Devil May Cry 5, Castlevania SOTN, Kirby Air Riders, Spyro: Year of the Dragon (Reignited edition) and more. Future days will include the likes of Dragon Quest XI, Tunic, Super Mario Odyssey, Bioshock Infinite, Gex: Enter The Gecko, Sonic 3 & Knuckles, Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, Hollow Knight Silksong, Pragmata, Wario World, Super Princess Peach, Earthbound Beginnings, Crash Bandicoot 4, Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Zelda: Wind Waker, Balatro, Tetris, Elden Ring, Metroid Dread, Pizza Tower, two UFO 50 marathons focused on individual games, and somehow, someone is going to find a way to speedrun Hey You Pikachu.
Plus, the Silly Block on Thursday slams you with silliness like Drywall Eating Simulator, Power Shovel, “Grandma No!”, Sonic Schoolhouse, Mr. Bones, Randall The Grape Jelly Cube Goes To Soda Valley For Some Reason, and to wrap it all up, Zelda: Wand of Gamelon.
The whole thing ends with Expedition 33 on Saturday night, but for those who come before, you’re in for a party. Summer Games Done Quick 2026 will run from July 5-11 in Minneapolis, MN, broadcast live on the official Games Done Quick Twitch channel — and now on YouTube too!
