SOEDESCO And Xelo Games Announce Petit Island

-

It took quite a while, but fans of the Nintendo 64 game Pokemon Snap finally got a sequel for the Switch last year. But now that they’ve played that, will there be another 20-year wait for the next photography game? You have to admit it’s a sparse genre.

Publisher SOEDESCO and Indonesian developer Xelo Games have good news on that end: they’re working on a new game with photo-based gameplay called Petit Island. The backstory is that you’re an anthropomorphic cat on an island of felines similar to yourself, and you’ve been inspired by the tales your grandpaw (spelling pun intentional) told you about his traveling days. You seek to visit all the places he did, bring back pictures of the places and events he experienced, and share them with him to revitalize his fading memories.

Petit Island is still in its early stages and does not have a release date, but we can at least confirm it’s coming. The only confirmed platform at this time is PC (via Steam). Keep reading for more news.
