SDCC 2023: Invincible Season 2 Makes Long Overdue Appearance

Well, here’s the moment we’d almost completely given up on seeing happen. The last time Amazon premiered an episode of Robert Kirkman’s Invincible was over two years ago, and there’s barely been a breath about future seasons since, even though we knew they were coming. To wait THIS long, you gotta be… ( INSERT LOGO CARD HERE )

Last time, our young hero (voiced by Steven Yeun) had discovered the true intentions of his father, the indestructible Omni-Man….and it wasn’t good! Omni-Man came from a planet of super-fascists who kill everyone who isn’t as strong as them and consider most life worthless. Only a faint glimmer of love stopped Omni from murdering his own son at the end, and the possibility of him returning with others like him was left hanging. What now?

Until now we couldn’t tell you. Now we can SHOW you….

Invincible’s incredibly overdue second season will be eight episodes long. These episodes will premiere on Amazon this November in a staggered fashion: the first half of the season will be watchable instantly, followed by the remaining four one week at a time. Then you can look forward to Season 3 in “early 2024″….not nearly as long a wait.

As an apology of sorts, Amazon has prepared a special episode focused entirely around Gillian Jacobs’ character Atom Eve. This special will debut…..RIGHT NOW! Seriously, it’s up. Go check….unless you don’t have Prime, then you’ll have to take my word for it.

Invincible returns with fresh episodes November 3, two and a half years after Season 1.
