Rupaul’s Drag Race All Stars 8 cast reveal!

-

Rupaul’s Drag Race All Stars 8 just revealed  it’s cast of returning drag queens.Seeing a cast reveal this early surprises many since Sasha Colby won just days ago in Season 15. Drag Race excels at keeping things fresh and remains a rating winner despite the numerous spin-offs. Different rules apply to Regular Drag Race seasons compared to Allstars, Versus the World, and All Winners.

Currently, Drag Race winners and alumni have more success than winners of shows like The Voice or American Idol. RuPaul will become a billionaire soon, with countries like Mexico, Japan, Singapore, India, and Brazil having their own Drag Race. Sixteen countries currently have their versions, with RuPaul hosting those from the USA, Australia, and the UK. The other countries have former Drag Race contestants and local drag superstars as hosts.
All Stars 7 of Drag Race removed eliminations to avoid tarnishing the winner’s reputation. Only eight drag queens compete. However, eliminations will return in All Stars 8, with 12 drag queens vying for the top spot. The lipstick assassin concept also returns, even if I don’t like it.

Rupaul’s Drag Race All Stars 8 cast reveal!

This Season was originally going to be an “All early out” Season that’s why early eliminated contestants like Naysha Lopez, Monica Beverly Hills, Mrs.Kasha Davis, Kahana Montrese, and Jaymes Mansfield are on the cast. I guess they don’t have the confidence to make the such season so they added fan favorites who got far on their Seasons like Darien Lakes, Jessica Wild, and Kandy Muse. Jimbo, a fan favorite from Canada’s Drag Race and UK vs. The World, is the only non-American to compete. Miss Congeniality and fan favorites like Lala Ri and Heidi N Closet also joins the cast.

If your favorite Drag Queen never made it to this cast, they might guest as a Lipstick Assassin at least. RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 8 is available on Paramount + in the US and WOWPresents plus outside the US this May 12.
