Oni Press has some awesome new comics coming out in October 2024. There’s a mix of sci-fi, spooky stories, and fun throwbacks. “Skin Police” by Jordan Thomas and Daniel Gete is a cool sci-fi story set in 2142. In this future, fertility issues lead to illegal clone babies. These clones, called “Dupes,” sometimes turn into dangerous killers. The UN has a special team, the “Skin Police,” to hunt them down.
“Epitaphs from the Abyss” keeps the spooky vibes going with creepy tales from top creators. “Cruel Universe” by Cullen Bunn, J. Holtham, and Zac Thompson dives into the scary idea of a supernova wiping out the world. “Sectaur” brings back the classic ’80s toy line with a story about bug-like warriors on a distant planet.
“Dwellings: All Hallows’ Eve Special” by Jay Stephens is perfect for Halloween. It tells the story of a vampire hunter in the creepy town of Elwich. For “Rick and Morty” fans, there are two new comics. “Rick and Morty: Finals Week–Old Man Morty” wraps up the Finals Week story, and “Rick and Morty: Youth in Rickvolt” continues the wild adventures in a rebel world. “The Autumn Kingdom” by Cullen Bunn and Christopher Mitten is a dark fairy tale about sisters fighting goblins.
“Sesame Street #3” brings some light-hearted fun with Cookie Monster hosting a dinner party. “Crystal Cadets” gets a special hardcover edition, showing the adventures of crystal-powered girls. “Adventure Time Compendium Vol. 1” collects the popular comic series in one big book.
“The Night Mother Vol. 1” is a gothic tale about a girl trying to save her town from eternal night. “Covenant Vol. 2” by Lysandra Vuong continues the story of priests fighting demons. “Invasive” by Cullen Bunn is about a trauma surgeon uncovering dark medical experiments. “Hobtown Mystery Stories Vol. 2” and “Jonna and the Unpossible Monsters” offer fun mysteries and adventures for younger readers.
Lastly, “ODB: Oddities, Discord, and B-Sides” celebrates the legacy of Ol’ Dirty Bastard with a graphic novel set in a wild, multiverse-mixed New York City.
