We don’t know how Netflix’s version of Avatar The Last Airbender will turn out (without the creators’ input, it’s up in the air), but we do know at this point what Aang will look like…and Karara, and Sokka, and Fire Lord Ozai and just about everyone else except Toph, who probably won’t appear in Season 1, barring some kind of mid-credits stinger.
But we haven’t seen EVERYONE….until now. Netflix released a new batch of photos today, revealing the minor players in this story.

JUNE: We get June in this?? Awesome! She was very underused in the animated series. I have the feeling she’ll also be underused here though. She’s played by Arden Cho.

JET: Troublemaker Jet will be played by Sebastian Amoruso. It’s a bit of a twist to put him here since he’s a Season 2 character. Maybe there’s hope for Toph after all?

GRAN-GRAN: Don’t count on Katara’s grandmother to make many appearances past Episode 1, but she’ll be played by Casey Camp-Horinek.

I think we already saw Suki in an earlier batch of photos (it’s Maria Zhang, for the record), but MAYOR YUKARI is new, played by Tamlyn Tomita. For those who don’t remember, she was Suki’s mother.

And finally there’s Danny Pudi as THE MECHANIST. …I don’t remember this guy from the cartoon at all.
The main cast includes Gordon Cormier as Aang, Kiawentiio as Katara, Ian Ousley as Sokka, Dallas Liu as Zuko, Daniel Dae Kim as Ozai, Paul Sun-Hyung Lee as Uncle Iroh, Elizabeth Yu as Azula and Ken Leung as Commander Zhao. Netflix’s ATLA premieres February 22.
