Monty Python And The Holy Board Game

-

Dynamite Entertainment has launched a crowdfunding campaign for a board game based on the cinema classic Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Sometimes you hear an idea and you think “I can’t believe it took THIS LONG to think that up.” This is one of those times.

The game is for two to five players, and each session should last 40 to 60 minutes. You and your friends play Knights of the Round Table on a quest for the sacred cup, visiting all the major places from the film. Each Knight will have their own separate, secret quest given to them via drawn cards. Once you reveal your card, your goal becomes to complete your Quest and the goal of the others becomes to ruin it. Yes, there are working catapults in the game, and you can fling stuff. This includes cows and (if the stretch goals are met) pigs and chickens.

There’s just one pledge tier this time…Dynamite is keeping it simple. There will be no additional products, just the game — which you can get with a $50 pledge. Hobby shop store owners have their own pledge tier, which bestows five copies upon them for $150.

Hurry and lock down your copy of Monty Python and the Holy Grail: The Board Game before time runs out. The campaign wraps up February 8.
