“Live to 100: Secrets of the Blue Zones” is a documentary hosted by Dan Buettner, exploring the lifestyles of people in regions where many live to be 100 or more. The documentary showcases diverse habits and factors contributing to longevity, including genetics, lifestyle, and social connections. For instance, while so called health experts says meat is bad, We have  cultures that eats meat in a daily basis but still ends up with lonher life.

The documentary “Live to 100: Secrets of the Blue Zones” focuses on five regions where long lifespans are common: Loma Linda in the USA, Okinawa in Japan, Nicoya in Costa Rica, Ikaria in Greece, and Sardinia in Italy. These places provide examples of how lifestyle, community, and diet contribute to their residents’ extended lifespans. Many Okinawans stops eating if they are feeling 80 percent cool.

There is no correct or right way to live long because I have seen people who lead the healthiest lifestyles, yet they still end up dying young. I also see people who are damaging their bodies but somehow remain healthy. Life is unfair, but it seems like the people from the Blue Zones could hold the secret to living longer than the norm. This could potentially be the aging reversal we are all waiting for.

“Live to 100: Secrets of the Blue Zones” will be available on Netflix starting August 30th.
