Live action Powerpuff girls cast finally revealed

The CW announced last year that they will be making a live action adaptation of the Powerpuff girls. It was a polarizing announcement but the reveal of the cast is well received by the fans. People may actually watch this upcoming show with a more open mind.

The adaptation is more of a continuation of the last season of the original series. It is years later when the girls became adult women in their 20s. The girls went their separate ways as grown-ups and pursue different paths in life.  One of my predictions about the live-action adaptation of the Powerpuff girls is they will cast a woman of color as Blossom. CW has a habit of casting People of color for Redheads and they kinda did. Chloe Bennet of Agents of Shield fame will be playing Blossom.  Bennet is of Chinese descent so she continues CW’s tradition with Redheads. Her experience from Agents of Shield makes her fitting to play Blossom.

Here is her confirmation that she will be playing the leader of the group.

The Descendants and Liv & Maddie Star, Dove Cameron is on a retweeting spree of all the news confirmation about the cast announcement. An emoji can speak a thousand words with this announcement. The most innocent member of the Powerpuff girls will be played by Dove Cameron.

I really just want to play Bubbles in a live-action Power Puff Girls movie.

Broadway performer and Jagged Little Pill cast member, Yana Perrault will be playing the rough Tomboy Buttercup.
She can sing so I can imagine Buttercup pursuing music on this Tv series. She can be Ace’s rival because the former Gangreen Gang member became a member of Gorillaz.

Now, all we need to know is who will be playing the Professor? Also who among the villains will be making it on the show.  Are characters from the 2016 reboot like the 4th Powerpuff girl, Bliss make an appearance on this adaptation?
