Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess

-

Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess is a new risk Capcom takes after their winning streak.   Monster Hunter Rise + Sunbreak Set, Street Fighter 6,Resident Evil: Village and the remakes of Classic Resident Evil Games sells.  Aside from the successful sales of their legacy titles, They are getting praises from critics. People who use to bash Capcom calls them  CapGod now. 10 years ago they are calling them Crapcom. They learned from their mistakes of alienating the fanbase and now Capcom is winning back people’s trust.

Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess is a new IP that reminds me of the underrated game that won so many Awards, Okami. Both Games are based from Japanese culture and folklore. It also gives me shades of the Legendary Capcom Onimusha which sadly more Gen Z kids don’t remember.

Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess Announce trailer

Man’s imagination is privy to some of the most terrifying and strange creatures found in Japanese Folklore. Moreover, the monsters in this game are designed to be both whimsical and terrifying, captivating players with their unique designs. In fact, if Okami, Asura’s Wrath and Onimusha, were to merge their influences, the result would undoubtedly be this game. It is like a tribe to 3 Capcom games that gave us a taste of Japanese Mythology and culture.

Capcom made some mistakes  in the past. However, one of Capcom’s greatest decisions was to create their own engine, the RE Engine, which has consistently delivered astounding results. Notably, it has worked wonders for games like Resident Evil 7, Village, and the remakes, pushing the boundaries of visual excellence. Furthermore, it has successfully transformed Street Fighter 6 into an absolute visual treat, leaving players in awe.

Now, continuing their trend of utilizing the remarkable RE Engine, Capcom presents Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess. With this latest release, fans can expect an epic clash between the spirit realm and mortal man, an experience that promises to be truly unforgettable. The Game will be coming to Xbox Xeries XS.
