Infinity Knights: Xross Launches Kickstarter

-

Australia-based Timesea Studio has launched the crowdfunding campaign for Infinity Knights: Xross, an action co-op RPG patterned after Square’s Mana series. We’re actually getting a Mana game this year but…why not two? Hiroki Kikuta, the composer of Secret of Mana, has been hired to make the music for this game, adding an extra touch of authenticity.

The Xross of Infinity Knights: Xross is the newest member of an elite group of soldiers who bear The Armaments: weapons capable of reviving slain enemies. You’ll explore both static and randomly-generated dungeons on your quest to save the kingdom from an ancient enemy that has risen again.

“There always seemed to be a missing pixel game from our childhood that involved dynamically evolving and strategic, active combat, and we hope to bring that to our audiences through Infinity Knights: Xross!” says Timesea Studio developer Saxon Goodrick. “We were inspired by titles such as Dark Cloud, Final Fantasy XI, and the Mana series to create something that combined the best parts of all our favorite games. We are genuinely excited to use our wealth of gaming experience to create a new, old-school RPG with the benefits of modern qualities of life.”

The cheapest pledge tier in the Infinity Knights: Xross Kickstarter is the Explorer Pack at $27…that gets you a digital copy of the game for PC or the supported console of your choice, plus a digital copy of the soundtrack. Increasing your pledge to $34 gives you the digital artbook; the $41 tier grants you access to the beta version. It doesn’t look like a physical version is planned at this time.

Infinity Knights: Xross is being targeted for a Fall 2025 release on Playstation 5, Nintendo Switch and PC.
