House Of The Dragon Releases Final Warning Before June 21 Attack

-

We know the second season of House of the Dragon was lacking in several ways. The big problem was…not enough happened! We were promised a big war and then the season got cut off right before it. We’ve been assured that won’t happen again and that the moment Season 3 starts, we’ll GET that war and then some.

Co-creator and showrunner Ryan Condal told EW.com recently that the Battle of the Gullet, which is what that big scene with the ships and dragons is called, will be “arguably the craziest episode of television ever made.” He teases it further: “[It’s] bigger and more ferocious than before. It starts off with a bang: the first two episodes were essentially supposed to be our finale last year, so you can just imagine that sort of energy.”

Throughout her entire life, Rhaenyra Targaryen has had one goal: to plant her posterior on the Iron Throne. No other chair in all the world will do! Between her and what she wants is Aemond, the dude with the eyepatch. Rhaeny claims she can pull this off “without further bloodshed.” PFFFFFFT.

Aemond also appears to think so, and at first employs a strategy of propaganda and showboating, but…those dragons are hungry and this mess can’t be avoided (especially if we want a good show at home). And after this, it still won’t be over: we have one more season to go.

House of the Dragon stars Matt Smith, Emma D’Arcy, Olivia Cooke, Steve Toussaint, Rhys Ifans, Fabien Frankel, Ewan Mitchell, Tom Glynn-Carney, Sonoya Mizuno, Harry Collett, Bethany Antonia, Phoebe Campbell, Phia Saban, Jefferson Hall, Matthew Needham, James Norton, Tom Bennett, Kieran Bew, Kurt Egyiawan, Freddie Fox, Clinton Liberty, Gayle Rankin, Abubakar Salim, Tom Cullen, Tommy Flanagan, Dan Fogler, Joplin Sibtain, and Barry Sloane. The show returns June 21 on HBO and HBO Max.
