Based on the description of the TradeMark, it is going to be a Dating Sim spin-off of Dead By Daylight! HOOKED ON YOU: A DEAD BY DAYLIGHT DATING SIM is the full title of this project.
The fanbase wanted a single-player mode for the Game because sometimes playing online can be toxic. A dating Sim spin-off could be the closest thing we have for a single-player mode.
A dating sim is a Subgenre of visual novel where the player will try to win the character’s heart they decided to pursue. Most Games of this genre are adult-oriented, but some are wholesome enough for the younger audience.
There are questions in the head of the fanbase right now. First, who will be the character playable for the player? Are you going to date women or men? Is it possible to date both? Are the killers part of the roster of datable characters? Most killers are not conventionally attractive, but different strokes for different folks. The Artist and the Plague were beautiful women before they transformed, and they still have traces of beauty. Female Players are swooning over Trickster.
The licensed characters have a complicated situation. So whether they will be allowed depends on the owners.
One thing is for sure, The characters from Stranger Things are out of the question because Behavior’s deal with Netflix is over. Some are very protective of their feelings, while others are lenient. The Resident Evil characters are also out because Capcom is overprotective of their assets. They refuse a crossover with Mortal Kombat because they don’t want fatalities performed on Street Fighter characters. Capcom will not allow Behavior to make Jill and Leon Dateable characters on a Dating Sim.
