Hellbound was one of Netflix’s most successful Korean originals back in 2021. There is complete silence for a whole year. There was silence and no News for a whole years. People assumed the demise of this show. I can’t blame them because everybody has doubts about Netflix’s reliability these days.
Fortunately, Korean shows seemed to have immunity from the Netflix Curse. Korean Dramas and thrillers have a smaller budget than most American shows, so Korean Netflix originals have a higher renewal rate. Squid Game was supposed to be a Limited Series, but its success made Netflix compromise.
If you haven’t heard about Hellbound, it’s first Season is ready for you to binge at Netflix. It is based from a hit Webtoon and Netflix Webtoon Adaptations always deliver. Hellbound happens in a world where Angel of Deaths shows up to people giving them a decree or expiration date. There is nothing they can do about it. Once the day come, A group of massive demons will beat them up to death and burn them to crisp.
A cult got formed because of the deaths of people who got the decree from the Angel face. People accuse the Hellbound people to be sinners. All of that will change when a new born baby got the decree. The show is unsettling and will keep on your toes because no one is safe. There is no release date yet but I am surely going to wait for this new season.
Hwang Dong-hyuk, Just won the Emmy for Best Director. He must be in Cloud 9 because Squid Game also got renewed for a 3rd Season and it also have a Reality TV spin off. As a Way of rewarding the fans for all the blessing he got. He just shared a deleted scene from Squid Game.
