DC wil get back to class in September with a new line of comics and new problems for our heroes.
There’s a GOTHAM WAR this month….and I know, what else is new, but the difference this time is who’s warring. Batman has one notion of how to keep the city safe in the wake of Knight Terrors. Catwoman has another. Bruce and Selina are about to have a domestic dispute that tears apart the whole city and ropes the entire Bat-Family in, as well as four books: BATMAN/CATWOMAN: THE GOTHAM WAR: BATTLE LINES #1 on August 29, BATMAN/CATWOMAN: THE GOTHAM WAR: RED HOOD #1 on September 26, BATMAN #137 on September 5 and CATWOMAN #57 on September 19.

Four DC heroes are getting their books renumbered this month: in WONDER WOMAN #1, the US Congress has banned Amazons from the country, cuasing headaches for Wondy (is that constitutional? Probably not, but who enforces that old paper anyway). In THE FLASH #1, Wally West returns to the title role as he experiences new phenomena beyond the Speed Force. In BLUE BEETLE #1, Jaime Reyes is facing his new life as a graduate and mentor to two Blue Beetles in training — Dynastes and Nitida. In POWER GIRL #1, she’s on a road trip to stop a Lryptonian visitor from attacking Superman. Both Wonder Woman and Power Girl are on sale September 19, while Blue Beetle is out September 5 and The Flash becomes available September 26.
Finally, there’s the comedy FIRE AND ICE: WELCOME TO SMALLVILLE, a six-issue series by Joanne Starer and Natacha Bustos that launches September 5. After a disastrous mission that pubicly humiliated them both, Fire and Ice have escaped to Smallville to leave the public eye…except Fire wants back in that eye and Ice would do anything to avoid it. Can these two agree on anything? They have six issues to sort it out.
