Beaten Path is a Stunning Turn-Based Tactical RPG Out in 2026

-

Do you have that itch to play a tactical RPG, but the classics are just not hitting like they used to? If so, then why don’t you keep an eye out for this new kickstarter-backed game, Beaten Path, coming in 2026!

Developed by the indie studio, Peacebreak Studio, Beaten Path is a turn-based tactical RPG. Taking after games like Final Fantasy Tactics and the more recent Triangle Strategy, Beaten Path seeks to emulate what made those games great. The game prioritizes a strong narrative, a tactical gameplay core, and a customizable experience.

The game’s focus on customization comes from its cast of over 20 different characters. There’s a variety of equipment and abilities to give to characters, though most of the customization comes from the dual job system. Each character can pick a primary and secondary job, each with their own skill tree, allowing for an incredible amount of options to choose from.

Starring our hero Panna, she struggles to explore a world that gives her a sense of deja-vu. Her memories scattered she journey’s across the world in search of answers to this familiar feeling she has. Uncovering a mystery around a looping journey, she must gather her allies and remember her role in a war forgotten to the world.

While Beaten Path would achieve its goal of $20,000, multiple stretch goals have yet to be reached. This includes the addition of Hard mode, as well as a new game plus mode for replay-ability. Backers can receive copies of the game, an art book, and even the chance to create recruitable allies and NPCs.
