Here’s something to consider popping onto your turntable during the next D&D session: in honor of the game’s fiftieth anniversary, composer Michael Gatt has released Bardic Inspiration: A Musical Journey through the Forgotten Realms, a full album of tracks inspired by the worlds of D&D, the Forgotten Realms in particular.
Bardic Inspiration is a physical release on dual vinyl discs that uses unconventional instruments, effects and a real 40-member choir to vividly evoke and enhance whatever fantasy the DM is whipping up. According to the PR release the album “is perfectly designed to transport you to the iconic locations within the legendary Forgotten Realms. Each piece is a tribute to the captivating adventures and tales of heroes, villains, cities, and dragons that have defined D&D for the past 50 years. Whether you’re a seasoned adventurer or new to the realms, this album will inspire and transport you to the heart of D&D’s magical world.”
Gatt worked with co-producer Jeremy Jarvis and visual artistic director AJ Hanneld to create a memorable presentation, wrapped in detailed artwork by artists from agency TBWA\Chiat\Day. The album as a whole contains twelve tracks and s 38 minutes long….
Bardic Inspiration: A Musical Journey through the Forgotten Realms is available for purchase today at retailers including Amazon and Barnes & Noble for an MSRP of $49.98. The album is available digitally on all major streaming platforms.
